Twitter Follow Ratio Tips and How to Promote Your Twitter
Twitter Follow Ratio Tips
Follow Others and keep your Twitter follow ratio below 105%. Just follow others who share similar interests, and if they find your bio or website or tweets interesting, they will follow you back. But don’t over do it otherwise you will end up in the twitter blacklist (or even suspended in some cases).
Promote Your Twitter – I promoted my twitter everywhere, from my blog, Facebook, websites to my email list to signatures. Do whatever you can to send tons of traffic to your Twitter accounts.
Engage In Conversations – If people don’t see you actually engaging in conversations i.e. replying to other people’s tweets then they will see you as unsocial and simply unfollowing you. Twitter is about interaction and relationships. Just think of it this way, will you still continue following someone who just simply ignores you? Unless he or she is a celebrity or thought-leader, probably no. One-way communication just doesn’t work to well on Twitter.
Tweet Useful Micro Blogs – Simply tweet stuff that are interesting or useful and people will follow you. Don’t continue to tweet and promote your online blog, capture page, or website. If you do, not only are people discouraged from knowing you better or knowing you at all, it could create issues with your Twitter account and you will be suspended.
Tweet Enough – Not tweeting is one of the biggest turn-offs to a follower. It’s just like not updating your blog for a couple of months. People will simply not come back to your site (or unfollow you in this case especially if they are using a filter tool to unfollow you based on your tweet stats) Make sure to tweet at least once per day. Of course don’t over do it either.
Don’t Tweet or Direct Message the same content. This is considered Twitter Spam and your account will be suspended or deactivated by Twitter. Automate and schedule your Non-Spammy Trump Tweets & Generic Tweets using Tweetspinner
What is Social Media?
What is social media? It’s not an addiction or something people should need to run from. Social media is people meeting other people. It’s your ability to be you and throw your personality, product, service or brand marketing out there for the world to see. It’s a place where you can make new friends and create new bonds with all kinds of people. A place where you can join groups and get to know others that have the same common ideas or common interests. It’s an opportunity to build trust in your core group by simply showing them who you are and going out of your way for them. It’s how you earn money online by being human and trusting instead of being the scum you traditionally were online at one time. What I mean is, anyone and everyone will be using social media and everyone’s reputation is at stake now a days.
Social media optimization is a tool that must used cautiously with care, but at the same time be yourself and be loud and clear if you want to. Be a human being and be social and at the same time, you might want to learn more about how to use social media correctly in branding your service or product. I highly suggest that you first develop a social media strategy to ensure you know what you are doing before presenting your product or service with social media. Hire a social media consultant or internet marketing consultant to help you or find all the many tools to get you started by reading articles and blogs online or watch videos to move you along in learning about how to brand with social media.

Why Blogs Are #1 In Social Media and Will Be For A Long Time
20 years ago blogs were used as web logs or online journals. What made blogs different is of course everyone can see them. Blogging became The most social of all websites and have grown to over 70 million and have surpassed static web pages making blogs the most important social media platform in social media marketing to say the least.
In fact, if you listen you’ll hear just about every social media guru say “If you don’t have a blog your don’t exist online”. In other words without a blog you can forget about being the life of the social media party and settle for being “that guy” that keeps showing up. No one knows where he from and where he goes back to once the parties end.
So why a blog what makes it such the cornerstone of social media? The natural social flow of online traffic and lead generation start at Twitter and flows from Youtube and Facebook to ultimately ends up at your blog. Every other social platform is shared with millions of other faces while your social media blog on the other hand is all about you “featuring” some guest.
You see your tweets (Twitter headlines) and videos (Youtube TV) and socializing (Facebook Lifestyle) of for the purposes of promoting your BLOG (which all these sites rolled into one). All your content (post, videos, pics etc) should actually be syndicated from your blog to the virtual world.
The moral of this story is don’t be the jerk at the social media party. Party and socialize but be sure you have a place to lay your head online and if you don’t you just might be “that guy or gal” flashing your opportunity every time you hear the word hello.
